Giving Tuesday

On #GivingTuesday the ANA-Vermont would like to take a moment to recognize the devastating

shooting at the Club Q in Colorado Springs, CO earlier this month. This senseless and hateful act of

violence took the lives of community members who will never be forgotten.

Our LGBTQIA+ communities are yet again faced with discrimination and hate intended to cause harm

and fear. It is our responsibility to surround them with love, kindness, and fierce allyship. As nurses, we

need to support our LGBTQIA+ colleagues, their families, our patients, and our communities to ensure

that instances like this do not happen in Vermont or elsewhere.

On this #GivingTuesday, the ANA-Vermont encourages you to donate to causes like www.EveryTown.org

which devotes their resources to put an end to gun violence, and/or www.Insideoutys.org which directly

supports the LGBTQIA2+ youth in Colorado Springs, CO.
