Happy National Nurses Day

Nurses Day Proclamation

Then our Legislation Day meeting with Senator Leahy and his wife Marcelle, a nurse  who just had her last treatment! We celebrate with her!

Patrick Joseph Leahy is the senior United States senator from Vermont and serves as the president pro tempore of the United States Senate. Leahy was first elected to the Senate in 1974, and previously served as president pro tempore from 2012 to 2015. He is the former chairman of the Agriculture and Judiciary committees. He served as the ranking member of the Appropriations Committee from 2017 to 2021, and became chairman in 2021-22. Senator Leahy thanked us for our service. Thank-you Senator Leahy for your service, for supporting funding for nurses and listening to Marcelle's sage nurse advice.

LT Gov Molly Gray

ANA -Vermont also appreciates LT Governor Molly Gray sharing at our even how she felt it is a priority to invest in nursing to retain and support nurses, such as LPN to RN programs. She mentioned the difficulty nurses have finding housing, noting some cannot find housing to move here. She stated she would support loan forgiveness and housing issues and offered support for a health care provider on the Green Mountain Board and thanking us for our service.

Thank-you Vermont Nurses for all you do.
