Call to Action

Rising overhead costs to staffing agencies are but one piece of the complex puzzle of issues adversely impacting health care and the nursing profession. Many of these issues existed long before the pandemic, have deteriorated since and will continue in the future without immediate action. Safe, quality work environments are long overdue for nurses and their patients, and it is time for Congress to listen.

Tell your story to your members of Congress; your experience of the challenges before and during the pandemic regarding your nursing environment. 

Congress must work with ANA to promote positive policy solutions, like workplace safety, staffing decisions made by nurses, and competitive wages and benefits, for nurses and the health care system through legislation and the appropriate federal agencies.
