Find a Mentor

Meredith,

Burnout, distress, isolation and resignation are not your only options! Throughout COVID-19 you have tirelessly, bravely, and skillfully cared for the nation – often at the expense of your own wellbeing and in a resource-constrained environment. This same level of care needs to extend to you and your wellbeing in a supportive environment.

As a previous participant and this year’s Mentor Advisor, I encourage you to explore ANA’s Mentorship Program. It’s a free and valuable member-only benefit where Mentee Jennifer Mihalchik described her experience as,

“My partnership with my mentor was invaluable. I appreciated my Mentor's willingness to share her knowledge and expertise in helping facilitate my thinking.  Our relationship was based on trust, mutual respect, and full engagement. From our initial meeting, our partnership grew stronger.  She built my confidence and helped me to make decisions that helped me reach my goals.”

You only have until this Sunday, September 26th to enroll and be matched with a Mentor that can help build and support your skills. If you have experience Mentoring less experienced nurses, give back to your community and enroll as a Mentor. Newer nurses need your experience, wisdom, and vision during this time.
