As President-elect of ONL MA RI CT NH VT I wholeheartedly support the nurse compact bill. ONL has provided a position paper outlining the rationale for this support. As the voice of over 1,000 nurses from 5 states, we play a vital role in transforming health care to ensure patients in all settings receive high-quality, safe care
As a Vermont resident (Arlington) and former Chief Nursing Officer of Southwestern Vermont Healthcare I believe that the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact will positively impact the workforce in Vermont by decreasing barriers and unifying the nursing licensure process. I urge the legislature to look favorably on this bill so VT can join the over 30 other states in the nation already part of the compact.
Respectfully, Carol A Conroy DNP, RN, CENP, FAAN

As a nurse faculty who teaches across state lines and in some cases with a university housed in another state, the nurse compact bill is important to me. Currently I have to maintain multiple licenses in order to teach online. This is extremely expensive and not covered by the employer. The compact will greatly decrease barriers to having sufficient faculty to teach nursing students.
With respect, Anne Watson Bongiorno, PhD, APHN-BC, CNE

Testimony was supposed to last 45 min, but went for over an hour and a quarter with more questions still to be asked before they moved on to another bill. They will make no vote or decision today.
