Testing Clinics for Nurses -- Please spread word
Posted over 5 years ago
Governor Phil Scott announced last week that the state is working to significantly increase and strengthen its testing and contact tracing programs in order to quickly identify, contain and suppress cases and outbreaks of COVID-19. As childcare and early education professionals serving the children of essential health workers, you are on the front lines in this work, and a vital force in achieving these public health goals.
As a first step in expanding COVID-19 testing, the Vermont Department of Health is initiating several on-site testing opportunities for frontline, healthcare workers, first responders, and childcare providers currently serving essential workers. The next opportunity will occur on Saturday, May 9th from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM. Testing will be conducted by appointment only at the State of Vermont Public Health Laboratory, 359 S Park Dr, Colchester, VT 05446. This opportunity is open to healthcare workers and first responders (EMS, Fire, and Law Enforcement). To make an appointment for the Saturday’s testing please call (802) 863-7223 between the hours of 0800 and 1600. There are a limited number of appointments available, however, the Department of Health anticipates several additional opportunities next week in Bennington, Brattleboro and Hartford. More information on those upcoming clinics will be available soon.
The Department of Health is planning for the following additional opportunities:
- Tuesday, 5/12 Bennington
- Thursday, 5/14 Brattleboro
- Saturday 5/16 Hartford
More detailed information on these upcoming dates, and other sites to be scheduled throughout the state, will be available soon.
