Nurses in Advocacy: Hill Day at the Capitol

ANA-Vermont has partnered with the Emergency Nurses Association Vermont State Council and Vermont Nurse Practitioners Association to host Nurses in Advocacy: Hill Day at the Capitol.

This in person event will take place on Tuesday February 11, 2025 at the Capitol Plaza Hotel and Conference Center and Vermont State House. Nurses from all specialties and practice settings are invited to engage with Subject Matter Experts and Nursing Professional Organization Leaders in learning about nurse advocacy fundamentals and the current healthcare legislative priorities for 2025.

The event includes the opportunity to participate in a Legislative Breakfast with state representatives and scheduled meetings with legislators. All attendees will be provided with relevant information and resources about current legislative priorities in advance of the event. Nurse colleagues from each of the hosting chapters will be available throughout the event to provide support and mentorship to nurses that may be new to healthcare advocacy.   

Registration for Hill Day at the Capitol is included for those that have registered for the Annual Conference on Monday February 10, 2025. If you have registered for the Annual Conference there is no need to register for Hill Day at the Capitol. Registration is only required for those unable to attend the Conference or those only interested in attending Hill Day at the Capitol. Members of any of the three host chapters may register at a discounted rate of $35. Registration includes parking, meals, and CE credits. Capitol Plaza rooms are available overnight at a discounted rate of $172 using code ANAVT. See the attached agenda for additional details.
